SUNDAY
Bible Study - 9:45 am - Age level Bible study for everyone from birth through Senior Adult. Adult classes offer a variety of learning styles as well as literature choices.
Worship Service - Traditional - 8:30 am A blend of familiar hymns and praise and worship choruses. A choir and instrumental ensemble are featured. A traditional service with friendly faces, and solid Bible teaching.
Worship Service - "The Gathering" - 11:00 am - A contemporary style worship service with a casual atmosphere. Worship with a live band and praise team. Relaxed feel, friendly faces, and solid Bible teaching.
Adult Choir - 6 pm Rehearsal for the 10:30 AM Worship Service and special events at Christmas and Easter.
WEDNESDAY Community Bible Study – 9 am – 11:30 am – September- May Our church hosts this inter-denominational Bible Study using materials from the national Community Bible Study organization. Individuals from over 70 local churches are involved. Ages infant through adult.
Nursing Home Ministry – 10:30 am A one-half hour worship service with residents of the Westminster Nursing Home. Children’s Choir - 6:00 pm - September through May For 1st grade through 5th grade children. Songs are taught and presented in the Sunday morning worship services.
Youth Choir - 6:00 pm - September through May for Youth.
Preschool Choir - 6:45 pm - September through May For children ages 2 through Kindergarten. Children learn songs to present in our Sunday worship services as well as engage in activities to help them learn how to praise the Lord.
Preschool Mission Friends - 7:30-8:30 pm - September through May For children, preschool through kindergarten, ages 3-5, to learn about missionaries, where they live and serve.
AWANA - 6:45-8:15 pm – September through May (Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed. See 2 Timothy 2:15.) AWANA Clubs International is made up of almost 16,000 churches around the world who want to reach boys and girls with the good news that God loves them! Kids like you meet each week to learn about God and His way to save us. Clubs are divided by age group: Sparks – Kindergarten through Second grade Truth & Training – Third through Sixth grade Each age group or "club" separates for different activities that include: Game time – unique activities that are exciting and fun; Handbook time – learn Bible verses, using fun and age-appropriate books. This is the foundation of AWANA; Council time –truths from the Bible are presented that reach boys and girls with the good news about Christ and train them to serve Him.
Youth Group - 6:45-8:15 pm For youth in grades 6-12. Activities include: indoor and outdoor games for fellowship and fun; a worship time of lively praise and worship music with a short message from the Youth Pastor; and small group time which uses age-sensitive groupings to discuss current issues applying Scriptural truths.
THURSDAY Men’s Ministry – 7:15 pm A weekly fellowship of men who gather for fellowship, Bible study and service projects.
SATURDAY UPWARD Basketball & Cheerleading A Fall and Winter program for children, grades 1 through 5. UPWARD Basketball teaches children the fundamentals of the game, emphasizing teamwork, sportsmanship and Christian values. UPWARD cheer leading adds fun and excitement to the program as kids learn the fundamentals of cheer leading, in a wholesome environment.
OTHER MINISTRIES Discipleship Training Classes These classes are small group adult studies that last up to 13 weeks. Check the church newsletter for scheduled classes.
Easter Egg Hunt & Celebration An annual event held before Easter to share the Easter Story with the children of the Community
Jail Ministry Quarterly worship at the Carroll County Detention Center under the auspices of the Good News Jail and Prison Ministry.
Liberty Learning Center Project Liberty Learning Center is an after school and summer program in Baltimore city designed to help children with school work, as needed and to provide an opportunity to share with them the love of Christ.
Mission Trips Past trips have included Latvia, Moldova, Jamaica, Appalachia, Mississippi & Louisiana (post Katrina), West Virginia.
Music Camp An action-packed, fun-filled, week-long camp for children, in which they rehearse and prepare for a musical production open to the public on Friday night!
Operation Christmas Child A ministry to give a shoebox full of Christmas gifts and toiletries to children around the world through Franklin Graham’s Samaritan’s Purse organization.
Shepherd’s Table Soup Kitchen We join bi-monthly with local churches to serve meals to the needy in downtown Westminster.
Silver Sages Breakfast – Second Tuesday, 8:30 AM - Baugher’s Restaurant. A breakfast fellowship for senior adults 55 and up.
Silver Sages – First Thursday, noon – A fellowship luncheon for senior adults 55 and up. Programs and meeting place TBA.
Westminster Rescue Mission – Second Tuesday 7pm – Worship and fellowship with the men at the Westminster Rescue Mission.
Vacation Bible School Our one week VBS is always a fun learning experience, where the gospel of Jesus is clearly presented to all. Our children’s Bible school is on weekday mornings and our youth Bible school is on weekday evenings, usually in different weeks.
W.I.S.E. Home School Oversight Program- (Westminster Baptist In-Home School Encouragers) – W.I.S.E exists to provide legal oversight, fellowship, and support for Carroll County families both within and outside our congregation, who are called by God to educate their children at home.
